The history of

ALCHEMIA MARINO

and

of its ARTISANAL JEWELRY

Alchemia is a family-owned artisan firm specializing in the creation and production of unique handmade jewelry through the ancient technique of lost-wax.

The Alchemia firm was born from the 30-year experience of sculptor "cerista" ( that's what lost-wax jewelry designers are called) Roberto Marino.

After having, for years, designed jewelry for the major Roman firms producing bijoux in lost-wax, he decided to start his own company together with his children,
Chiara and Matteo Marino.

Thus, the brand "Alchemia" was born in 2015.

The reference to the word "alchemy" is a must: just as alchemists aimed to transform matter into gold, so "Alchemia" transforms wax into gold or silver through the lost-wax casting technique.

Alchemia's jewelry is individually handcrafted, as if they were small wax sculptures, thus preserving the memory of the hand that forged them.

The entire production process, from the idea of the design to the finishing phase, is carried out in his own workshop in Rome, the city in which the lost-wax casting technique in modern goldsmithing came to life in the 1960s-1970s.

The jewelry created by Roberto Marino comes from his 30 years of experience in the goldsmithing industry, but above all from the sculptor's imagination that make his jewelry small works to wear.
